Research Interests:
Dr. Wang’s laboratory is studying the mechanism underlying regulated gene expression and transcriptional re-programming in cancer cells during tumorigenesis by utilizing combined genomic, epigenomic and chemical genomic approaches. They are also interested in identifying anti-cancer compounds by a new platform named HTS2, which coupled high throughput small molecule screening with the next-generation high throughput sequencing technology. So far Dr. Wang has published 19 peer-reviewed scientific papers in top journals like Nature, Nature Structure & Molecular Biology and PNAS, as well as got 3 patents issued.
